Queens Bar Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

Police are searching for two men who opened fire inside a Queens bar early Monday morning, killing a young waitress and injuring another employee.

The incident happened sometime after 2 a.m. at the Tulcingo Café on Roosevelt Avenue, located in the Jackson Heights section. Police say two customers were told by the bouncer they were getting out of line and had to leave. That's when they apparently began firing shots, killing the 24-year-old waitress and striking a man in the arm.

Sources tell CBS 2 the bar may have been a place where waitresses add to their tips with something called "$2 dances," just short of a lap dance. The two customers apparently grew angry after such a dance and that's when they apparently became disruptive.

Detectives believe the woman many have been killed as she stepped back into the bar after talking on a cell phone outside. They were said to have fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

If you have any information regarding this incident, you are urged to call police.
