Bar pals hope to put bouncer back on feet

Rollin Putzier's friends stage benefit to help with med bills

It was probably the bouncer mentality that made Rollin Putzier try to break up a fight at his apartment complex between two men he didn't know.

No one knows why the well-known club doorman decided to play peacemaker. That's because he has been in intensive care in Huntsville Hospital for three weeks after one of the men pulled a .22-caliber pistol and shot Putzier in the stomach.
