Although the
victim refused to make a statement against his assailants,
police used CCTV from the club and street cameras to
arrest and convict them of grevious bodily harm.
They will be
sentenced today at Inner London Crown Court with two more
club workers found guilty of perverting the course of
justice by disposing of the metal bar.
Lambeth Police
borough commander, Chief Superintendent Sharon Rowe, said
: "All of those convicted worked for the Fridge Bar and
were supposed to be responsible for preventing disorder -
but instead they created it.
"The level of
violence used was totally unacceptable and I hope this
case will send out a very clear message that those
engaging in such violence will be prosecuted with or
without the help of a victim."
