Man killed by security guard outside club
 

One man was killed in a shooting after a security guard broke up a fight between three men outside an Atlanta nightclub on Boulevard Southeast, police said.

Atlanta police said the shooting occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, and one of the three men left the scene and returned with a gun. Police think the man and security guard exchanged gunfire and the man was hit.

The man died after being taken to an Atlanta hospital, police said.

Police said they have recovered two weapons from the scene. Police Maj. Keith Meadows said police do not expect to file charges against the security guard.
