Evansville Man Says He Was Beaten By Bouncer
According to
William Witherspoon- his 20-year-old son William was choked
and beaten by a bouncer at Gloria's Corral in Evansville.
But an employee who was working that night says William fell
in the parking lot outside-- and the bouncer had nothing to
do with Williams' injuries.
William has a broken jaw that required surgery along with
chipped teeth and a concussion.
William said he was joking around with his 22 year old
fiancé Melissa- when a bouncer approached him.
The two exchanged words-- and according to Witherspoon the
bouncer then grabbed William from behind- choking him and
then throwing him outside.
Witherspoon, who is 20, was allowed in the club, but
Gloria's management told his father the bouncer checked
everyone's ID and no one under 21 was allowed in the club.
Witherspoon said he showed the bouncer his Tennessee
driver's license, which said he won' be 21 until next year.
William's father said the family moved to Evansville from
Tennessee about a year ago.
The family said
they do not have insurance and are contacting a lawyer to
explore their legal options.
