Off-duty
bouncer stabbed
RCMP are looking
for two suspects after an off-duty bouncer was stabbed in the
forehead and back at a Lower Sackville club.
The stabbing happened when the victim, an off-duty doorman at
Terry’s Place on Sackville Drive, spotted two men hanging around
the bar’s parking lot at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
He approached the men, who had been in the bar earlier, and
asked them to leave. The men started swinging at the victim,
stabbing him in the forehead and the back, and then ran off.
They were last seen running behind Terry’s Place, the former
location of the Load of Mischief strip club, toward the Napa
Auto Parts store, RCMP said.
Paramedics took the victim, a 41-year-old man, to the Queen
Elizabeth II Health Sciences centre with injuries that police
described as not life-threatening.
As for the culprits, Cpl. Joe Taplin said investigators "have
got a couple of leads of possibly who the individuals might be,
and they’re going to be following up on those today." |
