Bouncer Arrested for Rape

A bouncer at a Coon Rapids bar was arrested Saturday after he allegedly forced two women into the bathroom, raping one of them.

Russell Ruzin was charged after the two women came forward after Friday's incident. He was working at Rapid's Bar and Grille the night of its closing.

One 22-year-old woman claimed Ruzin grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into a bathroom, locking the door behind them.

The woman says Ruzin pushed her against a sink and forced her to have intercourse with him, before she was able to get away and tell her friends what happened.

The girlfriend of another bouncer says Ruzin followed her into that same bathroom a little while later.

The woman says Ruzin pulled off her pants and tried to make her have sex with him, but she was able to push him away and escape.

Police arrested Ruzin at the bar on Saturday night.

At first he told police he didn't have sex with anyone at the party. However, after investigators told him a medical exam backed up one of the women's claims, Ruzin changed his story and said sex with both women was consensual.

"If it happened I feel for the girls," said Owner of the bar Jeff Taylor. "No woman should be put in that situation. If he did it I hope he goes to jail."
