- Man shot
in confrontation with security guard at Triana nightclub

security guard shot and killed a man at a north Alabama
nightclub.
The Madison County Sheriff's office said 35-year-old
Frederick Donnie Woods was shot around 5 a.m. Sunday at the
Ebony Club in Triana.
Investigators said Woods was escorted out of the club
following a disturbance. Witnesses said he returned a short
time later with a .357 revolver and fired shots.
Woods was shot when he pointed the gun at the security
guard.
No charges were filed. But the sheriff's office said a grand
jury will determine if charges are warranted.
Authorities said Woods had a criminal history that included
arrests for drug and gun charges.
