Bouncer stabbed in the face

A Bouncer was stabbed in the face outside the 53 Degrees bar on Bridge Street in the early hours of this morning.

The wound required up to six stitches in the side of his face, a barman told the Warrington Guardian.

The stabbing allegedly happened minutes after he asked two men to leave because they were smoking inside the pub, at around 1.50am.

Two men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested and are helping police with their enquiries, but police are still seeking witnesses as there were a lot of people outside the club at the time.

If you saw the attack or have any information on it, call Darren Wright at Warrington CID on 01244 613831 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

The 37-year-old bouncer is understood to be out of hospital and recovering from his injuries at home.
