Several stabbed at NE Heights nightclub

Four people were sent to an Albuquerque hospital following multiple stabbing at a Northeast Heights nightclub early Friday morning.

Police were called to Club Fantasia on Mcleod between San Mateo and Jefferson shortly after midnight because of a scuffle.

Officers say that someone was hit over the head in a bathroom, and a fight started that spread out into the concert area.

Police say that three or four people were stabbed, two of them with very serious injuries.

“They didn’t have nearly the security they needed for this crowd,” said APD Sergeant Ian Power.    Power said that within the past couple of weeks, officers were dispatched to the same club for a shooting.

Police questioned on man at the scene but as of the Friday rush hour nobody was in custody.
