A Sacramento man
is under arrest for allegedly striking a security guard with
his car after he was ejected from a nightclub.
Police say
23-year-old Michael Weisz fled after running down Leroy
Berry Fisher III in the parking lot of the Badlands dance
club in the midtown area around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. He
turned himself into a San Francisco police station hours
later and has been booked on suspicion of murder.
The
64-year-old Fisher died at a hospital shortly after the
crash.
Police say
Weisz was angry after Fisher forced him and his friend to
leave the club for unruly behavior. The friend, who was not
identified, was questioned and released.
More than 100
people gathered Wednesday night to remember Fisher, who was
known as "Pops" among clubgoers and had been a fixture at
the club for years.
