Police said it appears the argument started when Genz accused the
suspect of being in "his" VIP area and drinking beverages that
were purchased for the birthday party.
The suspect pushed Genz, causing him to fall onto a nearby
glassware table, police said.
Security was called and they separated the two men, police said.
One of the bouncers gave Genz a towel to help stop the bleeding,
and police and fire were called.
The suspect apparently walked away, and police were still
investigating how that happened.
Genz remained conscious and was able to walk from the restaurant
to the gurney, police said. Paramedics took him to a Scottsdale
hospital.
While at the hospital, he stopped breathing, but was revived and
transferred to an Intensive Care Unit Saturday. Officials do not
know what caused Genz to stop breathing.
The suspect is described as a White male with blond hair, 25 to 30
years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing 245-250 pounds.
